Ruoting Peng awarded DOC Fellowship from the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW)

Congratulations to Ruoting Peng: She was awarded with the prestigious DOC Fellowship from the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) to fund her PhD project From the Road to the Plate: Tire Wear Particles in Sewage Sludge”. Her work will focus on the release of Persistent Mobile Organic Contaminants (PMOCS) from Tire Wear Particles and the uptake of PMOCs released from TWP in soil-plant system.

The DOC Fellowship Programme of the Austrian Academy of Sciences offers funding for highly qualified doctoral candidates in all areas of research. The fellowships in the amount of 38,000 Euros allow young researchers to dedicate themselves to working in focused fashion to complete their doctoral thesis within a clear timeframe. Ruoting obtained her Master of Science by Research’s degree from the University of Warwick (United Kingdom) in Organic Chemistry and joined EDGE in July 2018. She is an expert in organic analytical chemistry and synthetic chemistry.
